what were you born to do? {with guest Rebecca}

My name is Rebecca Donatelli and I am married to Bryan. We have one son, whom we adopted, Noah, who is 16 months old. I love reading, writing and cooking although I rarely eat what I actually make! I work full-time for a private college during the day and hold two part-time jobs in the evening and on the weekends. Writing has always been therapeutic for me and when I get a case of writers block, I submerse myself in my reading!

596027_1376876426.2173 “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why.”
Mark Twain

Have you ever stopped to think about that?

You were born for a reason, right? Procreation is to assist the world in bringing on new life and letting the world claim another small piece of the puzzle. You are a piece of the puzzle. You weren’t just put here to exist: You were put here to exist for something, to someone, to make a name and to have a place, to do meaningful things and to stand out. The world isn’t looking for you to just exist, it’s looking for you to create something and make your mark. We are supposed to have dreams and passion, love and loss – to feel something and let the people around you feel it too. We’re here to make a difference in some way – to someone – to the world.

Not everyone will have the same path, or the path that other people think they should follow. Not everyone will like the way you choose to go, and you may not even like the choices you’ve made, however, Faith Hill sang that the “secret to life is there ain’t no secret” and you don’t have to please anyone but yourself…

So why are you waiting? What’s holding you back?

Ask yourself where you will be in 10 years if you don’t choose what makes you happy or if you don’t figure out why you are here.

You’re not just here to be a good person, to be a mother or a father, to buy fancy things, to diet daily, pay bills or go to the grocery store every single Sunday…You’re here for something so what is it?

What were you born to do? When you figure that out, I promise you will start living better, healthier and happier and your piece of the puzzle will make this world a brighter place.

Today is the day you should start thinking about what Mark Twain said…figure out what your purpose is and start working toward it – It’s not too late to be who you want to be and do what you want to do with this beautiful life you’ve been given. Say a little prayer for everyone today that they get to figure out whose life they are here to influence, change and make better.
