easy washi tape crafts {craft tuesday}

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m going to give you a few examples of easy Washi Tape crafts. Washi tape is good for so many things…you can use it for crafts, packaging, sealing envelopes and more. There are so many possibilities and even more tape designs. Just do a quick search on Etsy to see what I mean.

washi tape greeting cardsI love to use washi tape for card making. It’s super quick and easy! All you need is some blank cards & envelopes and some washi tape. I got my cards & envelopes as a set at Hobby Lobby – I believe they were $5 for 50 sets (on sale). You really can’t beat that price, even if you make them yourself. All you have to do is cut your washi and layer it or line it up. You can stamp on the card as well or leave it as-is for an easy any-occasion greeting card.

washi tape order packagingI also love using washi tape to package up orders. I put a few business cards inside a paper bag with my signature jewelry box and tape it shut with cute washi tape. It’s easy but makes a big impact when someone opens up their package from my shop.

My last example is something I did when my bestie was in town for my birthday weekend. We used some old jars (this one was a salsa jar) and refashioned them into cute vases. I had already removed the labels, so we just took some washi tape and wrapped it around the jars, mine was layered with half of a paper doily. I added a quick coat of Mod Podge to seal it all and done! Now I can use it for flowers, paintbrushes or pens. Easy peasy!

What’s your favorite thing to do with washi tape?

{p.s. I have a few sponsor spots left…get yours in before my Friday Favorites post to have your shop/blog highlighted!}
