    “i am” Mini Book

When Christine contacted me a while back asking what I’d like to feature on her blog, the idea of a book about “me” was so intriguing because I’ve never done a book that was just about me. They are always about my family history, friends while going through school and now my husband & kids. I was excited to start creating the book and share what some of my passions are. This post will be up on her blog in the coming weeks, but I wanted to go ahead and share it with you. Let’s jump right in! I created my mini-book with items I already had at home. I…

    Blessings Book Update

Remember when me and my bestie Chrissy made our Blessings Book? I thought I’d give you an update on mine. I have to admit I haven’t done great with updating it, but have put in a few entries for January.   The start of January brought uncertainty in my husband’s job, but we were at peace with the new opportunities that God was bringing our way. January was a month full of creativity. January 2011 was the best January that the business has had yet (a great start to a year full of growth, I hope). February 1st I had a snow day off of work and got to spend…

    Project Life – January 2011

I’m so excited to be doing Project Life again for 2011. I love to scrapbook, but traditional scrapbooking just takes me too long with all of the other crafts I like to have my hands into. So Project Life was perfect for me in 2010. When I saw that Becky had two designs for 2011, I jumped right on the Amber Album. It’s beautiful and I’m so excited to print my January pictures and get them in the album (as well as finishing 2010). Here are some of my favorites for this month. Big E loves to play on her Daddy’s iPad. I love the glow on her face! I…

    Blessings Book

When my bestie was in town she was looking through my little scrapbooks throughout the house {like my summer book} and mentioned how she liked the books being around the house. I showed her Monika Wright’s blog where she posted her newest Gratitude Album. Monika has some great album ideas on her blog – she is amazingly talented. We decided to take a few hours and craft some Blessings Journals for ourselves. We both had the same paper and album covers, but used different rub-ons for the interior. I love how we used the same things but our books look so different. Chrissy’s Blessings Book We both cut out “Blessings”…

    My Summer Mini Scrapbook

I was so inspired by Ali Edwards’ post about her 4×8 minibook and then I remembered that I had a Pink Paislee 6×6 mini book as part of the kit I bought a while back. I decided to go ahead and make my own mini book using almost entirely Pink Paislee products. Mine is not quite as spectacular as Ali’s is, but I still like it. I might add embellishments in the future but for now it’s done. The first thing I did was adhere 6×6 paper to the chipboard pages. Then I cut some ribbon and attached it to the chipboard using my Crop-a-Dile. I printed “What I love…
