    biz tips: planning

    Last month I shared how to get out of a creative funk. This month I wanted to share how I plan my days because it was requested that I share what I do. What I do obviously won’t work for everyone, but it’s something that works really well for me. I’m the type of person that if it’s not written down, it doesn’t get done. I can go to the store for a dozen eggs but if it’s not on my shopping list, I’ll get everything (that I don’t need) and forget the eggs. I’m a mess that way. So much so that when my mom asks me to do…

    when real life sets in {and some updates}

    Well, it’s been about 3 months since I’ve written out monthly goals…April was the last time and I didn’t even finish well. With the end of the school year, going to Florida and general trying-to-balance summer life, planning out goals for the summer just isn’t happening. And you know what? I’m okay with that. We’re moving at our own pace and getting things done that need to get done. When the kids go back to school in August I’ll plan for some fall goals. goals, shmoals

    I’m having a hard time believing that April is gone. It’s been a whirlwind of a crazy busy business month, dealing with illness, celebrating Easter, doing Market prep and finishing up B-school (or trying to). My April goals have fallen to the wayside in just trying to get by. april goals

    Here we are again – a new month which means new goals. I half considered not posting about goals this month, because it just quite didn’t go as planned in my mind. But, that wouldn’t be very authentic, would it? So here they are! March Goals: 1. create a “for a cause” item – I created a bracelet for the Pick’d market, in which a portion of the proceeds went to the Acts 28 church planting ministry. I only sold a few, so I have a bunch of bracelets left over which will be in the shop in the next few weeks. Sales from this bracelet will continue to help raise…

    march goals

    Well, I’m here again to talk about my goals. I didn’t know if I’d share each month but I do think it helps me knowing that someone else out there knows my goals and just might check in to see how I’m doing (ahem, Leslie & Dave). February Goals: 1. finalize my new web design – for the most part it’s ready to go to my web guy to get started. I’m taking an 8 week business class starting mid-March so this might change but it’s set for now. 2. research a new technique – I’ll call this halfway complete. I really need to take a class for this technique…
