    Create: mini cards

Today I made some cute little mini cards that are a perfect addition to a gift or jewelry order. I used patterned paper from Pink Paislee and some other embellishments that I had in my stock of goodies here at home. I LOVE them and will have to make more tomorrow. They’re just like my card cubes in the fact that they’re perfect for lunch boxes, love notes or gift tags. There are three colors to choose from. Pink Base – includes some lime green embroidery floss and tin embellishmentsBlack Base – includes a strip of bright pink paper and antique-looking tin embellishmentsGreen Base – includes a polka dot ribbon and…

thank you for being in my life

When we were in New Hampshire visiting friends my bff Chrissy and I decided to be creative and make some cards. I made a card using some Pink Paislee cutouts and border stickers that I received the day before we left as well as an Ali Edwards stamp set. These had to be simple because I didn’t have all of my embellishments with me. I can’t wait to mail this to someone special!

    Create: Owl Greeting Cards

Today I felt like making some more transparency cards. I got out my Straight from the Nest cartridge by Cricut and cut out two owls. I did their wings different colors and the background but the design is the same for both. They were very easy to make and the inside is blank so whatever I have coming up in the next few weeks I’ll be ready whether it be a birthday or an “I miss you”. Did you all create anything this weekend? Don’t forget that my set of 4 transparency Happy Birthday cards are still available on Etsy for just $12. You can’t get nice mass-produced cards for…

    Create: Transparency Cards

Using transparency sheets as the base for a card has become my new favorite thing. I came up with the design when I was making cards at my work for 1st time guests. I was so excited about the design because it was something I came up with all on my own, without seeing someone else do it first. Usually when I design a card it’s based off of another that I’ve seen or a template that I’ve found online or in the StampinUp! catalog. I am hooked on this new design and my father-in-law, who is a pastor, asked me to make some cards for him to send to…

    Easter Card From Sissy

Happy Easter everyone! “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead!” (I Cor. 15:20) Yesterday I went to see a movie with my mom and grandma. While I was at the movie Sissy made me an Easter card that I wasn’t allowed to look at until this morning. She decorated the outside beautifully and on the inside she wrote her sentiment, drew a cross and a lion. Who knew there was a lion at the crucifixion? Apparently Sissy thinks there was one there and it had a lot of teeth. She makes me so proud with her creativity. She loves to color and we definitely don’t have to force…
