    handmade vintage market 2015

    This year was our biggest Handmade Vintage Market yet! We had a blast and we are worn out. Putting on a market is not for the faint of heart. Lots of hours and prep and meetings took place to make it happen. We had a great list of vendors this year. Wonderful musicians. Fabulous sponsors. We are so grateful to the amazing customers that came through and supported small businesses. Our amazing Market Photographer is Matthew Doudt Photography and you can see all of the pictures on our Facebook page. Take a peek at the vendors for the November 2015 market! They were amazing and still have a lot of…

    it makes a difference…

    Soon, these packages will be under your trees. I wanted you to know today that your purchase impacts more than just my family. They impact the family of Amber, who helped me cut bands in November to prep for a sale. They impact the single mom at the post office. They impact members of my church’s food pantry. It’s more than just me. I live in a small town – the kind of small town where there’s just 1800 people. We have a small country post office with two employees. what I wore…my favorite new kimono!

    Hey there! It’s been a really long time since I did a What I Wore so I thought I’d share a new favorite with you all. I wore this to church the other day and got so many complements on it. And it’s crazy comfy (and covers up everything I want to cover up, if you know what I mean). The beautiful Kimono is from Happy Chic Boutique and is less than $40. My shoes are from DSW. Jewelry from my shop. { Linking up with The Pleated Poppy for WIWW }

    it’s been quite a year…

    It’s hard for me to even write this post today…this year has been so weird, for lack of a better word. There were highs and quite a few lows in 2014. I think I’ve had more challenges this year than I have yet in my 35 years of life. When I say I’m ready for 2015, I really mean it. 2014 started off with a bang with some family challenges, getting snowed in multiple times, health issues, broken friendships…and things continued to challenge us (more me because I’m a “dweller”) throughout the year with unforeseen expenses, trying to nail down my health issues (which I finally did 6 months later with…

    perfect {and the miracle of the unfollow}

    Last Friday was a crazy day for me – just super busy and putting out fires for the market and working (etc, etc). That evening someone was at my house and she said that a friend told her that my life was perfect. In that moment  it made me really upset. Of course my life’s not perfect. Blessed? Yes. Perfect? Absolutely not. Sunday at church I stewed over that. People thinking my life is perfect. Why does that make me mad? I really don’t know, but I do know I never want to make anyone feel bad with the things that I put out there. I talked it over with…
