What is the Influence Network?

The past two years at Influence have been so life-giving and full. I loved my time there and this year I saw faces that I recognized which was so amazing. I love that the conference is full of like-minded, kind, beautiful (inside and out) women from every walk of life. Learning from these ladies has been an experience that I’ll always cherish and hold dear. That’s why I wanted to participate in this giveaway. I want someone else to be able to have that same experience!
TWO lucky readers will win a ticket to the 2015 Influence Conference. The conference is a three day event held in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Westin Hotel. You will meet women from all over the country who are seeking to learn the right tools for their passions. There will be workshops, classes, speakers, coffee, & shopping. There will be bloggers, mothers, small business owners, writers, and the list goes on & on.

A few years ago I spoke on a panel about running a business with the fabulous Katie from Vintage Rose Wraps. This was the first time I had met her and she is crazy sweet and super talented. She had so much to teach us during that panel that I kind of wish that I was in the audience and she had taught the whole thing herself. I’m so glad to have kept up with her via Instagram since we live so far from each other – she’s a consistent encourager to me and I’m so happy to tell you about her shop today (and she’s giving away a $50 gift certificate!!).

VRW

Vintage Rose Wraps started with two sisters who started making headbands. They wore them out and their friends & family wanted to purchase them for themselves. They sold in boutiques and stores and the rest is history. They’ve grown the business to be in hundreds of stores across the country, they travel to markets multiple times a year and they’ve recently expanded beyond headbands to include ruffled bags, cuff bracelets, boot cuffs and belts. Their shop is full of color and happy! {you can read more about their history here}. In addition to their shop, they also have a blog called The Vintage Mother where they share inspiration.

Katie generously sent me some belts to review, which I almost think is unfair because I knew before they arrived that I would LOVE them. I could give a review of them without even having them in hand because I love their products so much. I have 5 Vintage Rose Wraps headbands and get comments on them everywhere I go.

VRW-casual

But in order to give an honest, integrity-filled review I had to have them in hand so I accepted them gladly. The belts are so gorgeous in person. Above I used the yellow and gray one with more of a casual outfit. I slipped it through the back three belt loops and left it out for the front. They are so well made and are adjustable, which I love because I can wear it low on the hips or on the smallest part of my waist with a dress if I want to without needing a different size. The belt is not flimsy, but isn’t too rigid either. It’s quite simply perfect in my opinion. I wouldn’t change anything about it and love the look that it gives to my outfit.

My second outfit was a dressier option for church. I love the contrasting colors and the pop that it gives to my outfit. Someone told me that she loved my whole ensemble – I think it’s due to the belt. Let’s be honest, that pop of color makes a huge impact!

Katie & Vintage Rose Wraps have generously offered to give away a $50 gift certificate to their shop! What would you choose?

I’m so excited to share sweet Laura’s shop with you today. I met Laura when she was part of our May Market and her jewelry was a HIT. I’m so thrilled that she decided to do a giveaway here so I can share what she does with you all. Laura’s shop is called MyTIZO Art Wear and her specialty is working with wire.

myTIZO

Laura says: I am an only child, loving art my whole life.  Painting, pottery, cooking, drawing, music, I love it all.  I  fell head over heals with the notion to create jewelry, nearing the birth of my 3rd and last child in 2003. I’ve been married 20 years, I have a degree in Home Economics and Family Studies.  I love interior design, fashion, cosmetology, music, culinary arts, poetry and nature.  The Evolution and perfection of myTIZO designs keeps my work fun, and the customers/art shows keep it exciting.

My loyal customer base has helped me spread into boutiques throughout the Midwest, Texas, Arizona and Florida.  myTIZO’s allure in my opinion is the bold fresh style, ease on one’s pocketbook, and the excellent relationships I have with customers.   I think success has come to myTIZO because women like to share themselves through stories and relationships, sometimes in a matter of just 10 minutes in my booth, lifelong connections are made.  It’s amazing.  I have never been attached to the sales of my art wear, but the relationships….yes!

myTIZO has won various awards as well such as 2nd place of 50+ jewelry vendors at the 2011 Amish Acres Arts Fest in Nappannee, IN. In 2011 myTIZO had a small feature on local tv station’s programming in Champaign, IL for best new artist at the Chris Cringle Arts and Crafts show. She’s won honorable mention at Rising Sun Arts Fest, Rising Sun, IN 2013 and was interviewed on a Louisville radio show at the St James Court Art Show.

Laura sent me my very own cuff to review and it’s so pretty. I love the rustic look of the aged leather because it was an old belt buckle. I just love how she’s repurposing the old to make pretty new things. It feels so great on and makes a nice statement on my wrist. It’s a really great cuff and I definitely recommend Laura’s jewelry!

I’m so excited to tell you about a super cute jewelry shop run by Mina called Papelline. The thing that I love about her jewelry is the simplicity of it. The items are dainty and light, and I can imagine so comfortable to wear that you forget you even have them on until someone tells you how fabulous your jewelry is.

Mina says,

Hello! I’m Mina, and I love anything and everything simple and pretty. I’m a nurse by day, crafter by night, a mom and wife 24/7, a dreamer always <3 Everything in this shop is carefully handcrafted by me, from choosing the materials, production, packaging, and shipping. Each piece is designed with beauty, versatility and simplicity in mind, perfect for everyday wear!

The name “Papelline” (pah-pel-leen”) came from my love of crafts in my younger years, particulary paper crafts (stationery, gift wrapping, ribbons, stickers, etc). “Papel” is Fililpino word for “paper”, and I’ve always dreamt of owning a pretty paper supplies store (or something similar) for as long as I can remember. But my love for jewelry-making is stronger and much harder to deny. So in April of 2014, with encouragement from my husband, son, family, and dear friends, I opened my little shop, and named it “Papelline” ♥.

Aren’t they beautiful? I need that blue Adeline necklace for sure. It’s 20mm stunner and needs to be mine.

Mina is generously giving away a $50 gift certificate to her Etsy shop! Can I enter? Okay, I guess I can’t so I’m going to let one of you have it. Today I’m excited to share about a business that just opened earlier this year and is full of super cute clothing and accessories for women. It’s called Happy Chic Boutique and is owned by Christy.

shift-dressChristy sent me this super cute Colorful Sift Dress. One of the things that I love about this dress is that it’s lined, so I don’t have to worry about wearing a slip or being self conscious about it being see through. It’s comfortable and kinda funky with the loose sleeves. It’s perfect for the days we’ve been having this past week where the temps for July are lower than normal. So fun! Isn’t it so fun?

These are some of my other favorites from the shop. happy-chicso vibrant dress // over the rainbow maxi // multi chevron infinity scarf

One of my favorite things about Happy Chic Boutique are the prices – nearly every dress is under $30. Which is perfect because Happy Chic Boutique is giving one of you a $25 gift certificate for anything in the shop! You could get a dress, a couple accessories or a few tops. So many possibilities because the prices are so great! You can visit Happy Chic Boutique via the links below and be sure to enter through the rafflecopter app below as well.
